My Aims
The ‘N’ in NMH is me, Nicky. I love to drive, and I love to teach.
A mum of two grown-up kids, I started the school in 2016 with the aim of giving confidence and reassurance to learner drivers. And – importantly – to make learning to drive an enjoyable, rather than nerve-wracking, experience!
What you’ll get from me is down-to-earth, straight-talking tuition. I will encourage you to push yourself if I think you can do better, but never force you way beyond your comfort zone. As a learner, you are my entire focus - you dictate the pace. However long it might take, I provide the support, reassurance and security to make your road to good driving a happy and safe one.

I love to see you change up from being nervous and uncertain to being assured and in charge. And I love to see those big smiles when you pass your Driving Test!
But my target for you goes much further than simple exam success; I aim to give you all the tools you’ll ever need to become a safe, confident driver for life. Come rain or shine, fog or ice, motorways, traffic jams – everything the road can throw at you.
And let’s have some fun on the way!
Essentials
My teaching area is essentially Beeston, Nottingham, though I will consider pupils living just outside of this area. Unfortunately pick-up addresses on the other side of Nottingham, or further afield, present practical problems for lesson time-tabling!

Lesson times are Monday to Friday 8.30am, 10.40am, 12.50pm, 3pm (1.5 hour lessons). Evenings and weekends not currently offered

Tuition Fees
I prefer to give 1.5 hour lessons (2 hours or more for motorway tuition) – I feel that 1 hour tends to make us feel too rushed:

Block booking of 8 or more standard lessons = 61.50 per lesson

‘Pay as you go’ standard lesson = £63

Motorway lesson, minimum 2 hours = £47 per hour
(So hourly rate comparison is from as little as £41 per hour)
